When NASA sends the first astronauts to explore near the lunar South Pole, Artemis astronauts will don intricately designed, next-generation spacesuits built by commercial providers that are uniquely tailored for the lunar environment. The Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit, or AxEMU, will fit a broad range of crew members, accommodating at least 90 percent of the U.S. male and female population, and will incorporate upgraded life-support systems and innovative tools while also allowing for a wider range of motion like never before.
Join us for a discussion about these next-generation lunar space suits that will protect astronauts as they live and work on the Moon!
